Not many people can rider Owlerton as good as Hall, and 2012 sees him return to his spiritual home.
He started with Newcastle in 2001 and two years later he joined the Sheffield junior side and his performances in 2003 earned him a place in the senior Tigers team the following year. His progress was clear for all to see and coupled with his entertaining style, it was not hard to see why Hall was wanted by several Elite League clubs.
In 2006 he signed to Peterborough, a track similar in style to Sheffield’s, and that year he was a vital part of the Panthers’ 2006 side that won the Elite League title. Hall teamed up with Ryan Sullivan in the penultimate heat of the two-legged tie to secure a 5-1, which set up a last heat decider that the Panthers eventually won.
Hall remained with the Elite League side the following year but struggled with injuries, and in 2008 he stepped back down to the Premier League with Scunthorpe. A solid year for the Scorpions led to a recall from Sheffield, but his season was ended slightly prematurely when he broke his scaphoid in September.
His form in 2009 was good enough for the Tigers to want him back, and again he enjoyed a solid season at Owlerton. In 2011 he was released by Sheffield and he signed to captain the new Leicester Lions team. Things didn’t go according to plan and he was released by Leicester in July due to fixture clashes with his World Longtrack meetings.
He returned to Scunthorpe in place of Viktor Bergstrom and in December 2011, Sheffield announced that he would be returning to the Tigers side for 2012.
