SHEFFIELD star Lasse Bjerre says they are determined to keep on winning ahead of their trip to Berwick on Saturday (7pm).

The Window Centre Tigers are enjoying a hectic spell to round off their regular season fixtures with a home clash with Redcar on Monday (7.45).

They secured their spot at the top of the SGB Championship standings with wins over Edinburgh and Ipswich at Owlerton on Thursday night.

But middle order man Bjerre insists they won’t take their foot off the gas as they search for another victory against the struggling Bandits at Shielfield Park.

“We’re pretty busy now,” Bjerre said. “We need to get the last few meetings out the way and then start focusing on the play-offs.

“We’ve finished top of the league so the pressure is off I suppose, but we still want to keep winning and make sure we’re still riding well.

“We’ve got to go to Berwick on Saturday, then we’re at home again on Monday against Redcar so hopefully we can get two more wins.”

Both clubs will be without their No.1s, with Nick Morris and Josh Grajczonek both riding in the Premiership Riders’ Championship at Belle Vue.

Ryan Douglas steps in for the Bandits, who also use Alfie Bowtell as a guest at reserve, whilst Steve Worrall has been drafted in for the Tigers.

BERWICK: Ryan Douglas, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen R/R, Dany Gappmaier, Kevin Doolan, David Howe, Jye Etheridge, Alfie Bowtell.
SHEFFIELD: Steve Worrall, Todd Kurtz R/R, Lasse Bjerre, Josh Bates, Kyle Howarth, Jan Graversen, Georgie Wood.
