LEAGUE leaders Sheffield head into Sunday's Championship Fours Major Event at Peterborough with high hopes (2pm).

The Tigers moved to the top of the table after a stunning win at Edinburgh on Friday - and have claimed maximum points in their last six fixtures.

And even in a star studded field, Sheffield team manager Simon Stead believes his side are major contenders for the silverware.

"The confidence is sky high right throughout the club right now and we're at that stage where no-one or nothing fears us," said Stead.

"All of the boys are riding terrifically well just lately and we all believe that we have got a great chance of winning the Fours."

Josh Grajczonek, Kyle Howarth and Josh Bates represent the Tigers alongside Lasse Bjerre - who has declared himself fit to race in Leicester's Saturday night Premiership meeting with King's Lynn.
