SHEFFIELD reserves Jan Graversen and Georgie Wood will both be in action as the club host a four team tournament at Owlerton on Thursday (7.30).

They are joined in the Tiger Cubs side by fans’ favourite Richard Hall and Layne Cupitt as the club fill a gap in their SGB Championship fixture list.

They will face tough opposition from Belle Vue Colts, Coventry Select and a team from the Poultec Academy, managed by Olly Allen.

Former Tigers’ boss Eric Boocock will lead the home side – and with admission slashed to just £10 for adults and £1 for kids, he is urging supporters to get down to Owlerton.

Boocock said: “Obviously we’d like to win it, but the main thing is that we get some good racing for the fans to enjoy.

“I’m certain it will provide some exciting action from looking at the line-up. The racing won’t quite be as fast as the senior team, but that means it’ll be a lot closer and there will be a few more mistakes which will give passing opportunities.

“It’s something different for the fans, and at a tenner to get in you can’t go wrong really, can you?”

Supporters are reminded that season tickets are valid for this meeting.
