SHEFFIELD are gearing up for a big couple of nights as they face back-to-back fixtures against a strong Ipswich side.

The Window Centre Tigers travel to Foxhall on Wednesday (7.30) before hosting the Witches 24 hours later at Owlerton (Thursday, 7.30).

The two sides have already clashed twice in this season's SGB Championship, losing out 51-42 away before securing a 57-33 win at home.

Tigers boss Simon Stead insists his side have been buoyed by their 50-40 triumph over local rivals Scunthorpe last weekend and says he's more than satisfied with how the season has gone to date.

"The one good thing is that no-one is resting on their laurels and everyone is striving to keep getting better and better," said Stead.

"We haven't got any concerns with any of the riders, they all get on great and they're all doing their job for the team.

"Even though we've picked up some big wins so far, there's no such thing as an easy fixture in this league and Ipswich will provide us with a stiff test.

"They're a powerful looking outfit and i think we're in for two great meetings against the Witches."

The Tigers have once again booked Workington man Rob Shuttleworth to guest in place of injured reserve Jack Parkinson-Blackburn who sustained a dislocated shoulder in last week's win over Redcar. They will also operate rider replacement for Lasse Bjerre who is required to ride in his home nation of Denmark.
